Moving Drinking Water 15 to 20 lbs

What happened

EE who recently recovered from a surgery near the impacted body part felt a tearing burning pain near the beginning of their shift while moving drinking water to their working station 12 to 15 lbs. EE reported and took some ibuprofen but reported [REDACTED] the pain had intensified during activity. Arch Health Services was contacted and recommended EE seek evaluation at our occ health clinic. Occ health diagnosed a strain of the left inguinal region gave a script for pain and a 7 day 20 lb lifting restriction. Department is able to allow EE to remain in their normal work position with 90 percent ability to perform normal activities so this will initially go in as a recordable triggered by script but restrictions do not prohibit work but we will upgrade to a DART if the EE reports that they are experiencing pain discomfort in their normal position even with the restrictions because we will voluntarily reassign to a less strenuous work position in the department for further protection.
