Walking into the scrap chopper area.

What happened

EE walked back between the small scrap tub and the wall to enter the scrap chopper area. While EE was walking over to climb over the framework to get behind the speed feed and work on the chopper knives the EE struck the center of their left knee on the corner of the framework in the area. EE stated they were in pain and tried to work through it for a little bit but then walked out to the scrap pad and called the day shift supervisor who had just left for the day. EE reported what happened to the supervisor who told them they could leave if his knee hurt too bad since they were staying over to work on the chopper knives. EE stated they would be able to finish the job although they were in some pain. EE reported noticing some swelling and having a hard time taking their boots off when they finished.
