29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(iii): The safety monitor was not on the same walking/working surface and within visual sighting distance of the employee being monitored. On August 7, 2014 employees were not protected from a fall by a safety monitor who on the same walking/ working surface as the employees, exposing employees to a fall of 20' 6". Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
