29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: a) On or about March 15, 2023, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 20 feet from the edge of the roof deck while engaged in roofing activities without the use of fall protection or a safety monitoring system. Solaris Roofing Solutions, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(10) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1557696, citation 1, item 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on January 19, 2022, with respect to a worksite located at 3526 Oakton Street, Skokie, Illinois. No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.
