29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a- Building 8, Bordentown NJ: The company worksite Foreman was exposed to fall hazards, of approximately 9 feet to the flooring below, when walking and working from a commercial structure's exterior wall top plates and within roof truss webbing while wearing a full body harness that was not attached to an anchor with a lanyard or other approved means. Condition observed on or about 02/08/24. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
