The injured employee sustained a same level fall while walking in the rocks The employee recalls unraveling small diameter wire from his work boot after the fall occurred It is believed that the wire prevented his right foot from moving forward as he walked This drove his right knee in a direct downward motion into the rocks The same motion as a lunge The sudden impact between the knee and the rocks resulted in extreme discomfort which worsened over the course of an hour
